You are still able to import audio files to work on, record your own audio, as you're used to, or you can use their own built in instruments to add tracks to create your own music. The user interface takes a bit of getting used to, but the easily accessible tutorial videos will give you a good head start. It is a Freemium platform that offers quite a bit for free.
